Tea as a Gateway to East Asia
Born and raised in Finland, I’ve always sought adventure and embraced the road less traveled. My journeys have taken me to over 40 countries, including a decade living in Korea, China, and Singapore, immersing myself in cultures that redefined how I see the world.
It was in East Asia that I discovered tea as more than a beverage—it became a portal to history, tradition, and exploration. Each cup carries the essence of its origin, inviting you to journey through misty mountain farms, vibrant cityscapes and centuries-old rituals.
Tea is also a lens through which to understand the complexity of East Asia today—from its dynamic cities and innovation to its layered histories and the intricate interplay of regional and global relationships.
My approach to tea goes beyond the cup, offering insights shaped by a deep appreciation for the region’s political and historical context. Through authentic tea, I aim to connect people not only to the artistry and traditions of East Asia but also to the broader stories of heritage, transformation, and diplomacy that have shaped its identity.

- My tea pet peeve: There's tea, and there's herbals. Herbal tea is *technically* not tea, because it's made with plants OTHER than the Camellia family of plants - Camellia Sinensis is the tea plant.
